We live in the present, we dream of the future, but we learn eternal truths from the past
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.

not too bad.

Wonder what is in the horn from the guy on the left?
I think the guy on the right might want to put his knife in a different place....   :scared:

Zradix, the horn is likely a signal horn, for the hunt or alarm.

Got to admit, that feller on the right has more fortitude than me, to be wearing his blade in that location.

Cool shoes on the guy on the left.  Wonder if they made them in Sherwood?

Cool photo, Ron.  Thanks!

The "horn" was used as a horn--a fox horn is what they are called.  I have in the past had the opportunity to use one.  They summoned the hounds to a chase or were used to gather the archers.  Just an empty cow horn shaped on the end like the mouthpiece of a trumpet and blown in the same way.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Actually I'm kinda glad it's where it is in that pic

Wonder how long ago that was taken, looks like it's got some years on it  :)
