A couple months back I had listed some clothing items for sale on the classified forum and had a few inquiries before selling one of the items.  It left me a pair of pants to sell and although the price was fair it was a little steep for some's taste     I had one individual (jtwalsh62) who inquired but was short on the green side and offered me a trade of some items he may have of interest.  Well, long story short we settle on a bow rack that he could make me but he wouldn't let me send the pants until he got it built   :biglaugh:

My wife thought I ws crazy and would never see any returns on my investment, and "beside how do you know you got the right address?" You know she had me a little worried my plan to surprise jt would be a huge "fail" and I might not see anything for my efforts at being sly     But I have seen the generosity of Trad Gang members and although their may be a bad apple in the bunch somewhere for the most part we have the "Gold Standard" in my opinion as for a forum site and it members!

Well after sending the pant off to the home of what I hoped was the right Mr. Walsh.  I sat back and waited to see what would happen   :saywhat:  before he finally e-mailed me and said he got the pants and i didn't play fair...whew!

When we had discuss the bow rack and what he could build I told him I would prefer something different than your standard rack where the bows hung horizontal across the front and blocked the arrows.  Something with the arrows in the front and an ease of access to them and the bows could hang vertical. Well, not to prolong this to much more Mr. Walsh went to work with my thoughts in his head and set out to build me the most beautiful rack and exactly what i had envisioned in my head, but much prettier. Here are some pic's of the rack but in no way can show the true beauty of the work and craftsmanship that Joe put into it, thanks jt.

Very cool rack, how do you get the broadheads out? Is it notched on the back of the top piece like it is in the front of the bottom?  :)

Johnny yes sir it is notch out also and you just have to tilt it back a little to emote a arrow with a broached.  jt a standup guy!

I love hearing stories like this.

But...

I'm pretty sure I don't own a pair of pants that I could turn into a nice rack that that.

Very nice.

That is outstanding! You have inspired me. An old cedar just blew down on my property and I am going to make a rustic bow rack designed like yours. Thanks for sharing!
