I ordered my Mohawk a few months before Vince stopped taking orders.  I felt real lucky to "get in" so I could have my bow for this season.

Any how,  after placing my order,  and quite a few phone calls my bow arrived last week.   In my process of figuring out what length Mohawk I wanted, I tried several different lengths, all having slightly different handle shapes as well.

-Decided on a 62", which is fine at my 28" draw, and very handy in the woods.

-Riser is some really nice Macassar Ebony, that has been in the Mohawk shop acclimating for a long time.

-Decided to use Cocobola in the flare,  Vince sent me pics of several different flares and this one looked best.

- Limbs and Core are Yew.  Some real nice Yew too.

One thing I was really impressed with in ordering this bow, Vince worked with me alot on grip shape, he called me twice to discuss just the grip.  There were also a couple little things I wanted specifically that were done just as I asked.

The bow shoots great,  points very naturally, very quiet, NO shock, vibration, twang, hum, or anything funky like that   ;)

As far as I know Vince is still catching up on orders and such,  but I believe he will be taking orders again soon... and obviously his batterys are recharged.

Beautiful wood choices.  Love how they go together.  You should really enjoy this one!

My Mohawk should be delivered early next week. You are right about Vince, talked with him many times , he's a good guy.  So are Craig and Jason Ekin and the Widow boys. It's nice to deal with good people.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
