I got a set of 58" Lynx recurve limbs from Dan a few weeks ago and have been shooting them a bit. The bow handles a 30" draw no problem and is very good length for turkey blinds and tree stands. The string Dan sent me was a B50 and to long for the bow so I twisted up one of my skinny strings for it. Fastest Toelke I've ever shot and quiet. Very well mannered in the hand and just fun to shoot. Excellent fit and finish as always from Dan.

A couple of pics for you.

Black glass over bamboo with a black phenolic face makes for a good blind bow.  :)

I am currently shooting a Lynx with longboow and recurve limbs that Dan sent me to try. After shooting the recurve limbs initially I called him and jokingly told him to send another riser because I was not going to take the recurve limbs off the first one. I am a longbow shooter primarily and mostly shoot Dan's Super D Hill style bows. I shoot a recurve to have another class or two at 3d shoots.
That said, I am blown away by this little 58" recurve. I draw 29" and can't pull it back far enough to find anything approaching stacking. I believe Dan told me the 58" limbs would accomodate up to a 31 1/2" draw length. As well as the smooth draw the bow is extremely forgiving, absolutely "dead in the hand" stable and like every Toelke bow I've ever shot, QUIET! I have not tried a fastflight string as the bow is so fast with Dacron that I have had to increase arrow weight substantially to get flight similar to my other bows.
The bow I am shooting has a Bocote/Linen Micarta riser and absolutely gorgeous figured Myrtlewood veneers on both sets of limbs. Set up as a 64" longbow or 58" recurve the strung bow weight is an identical 35 ounces. I am on vacation at the moment but when I get home I will post some pictures.

Great bow, great bowyer, I love my lynx.  I draw 29.5 and don't have any problems at all with limbs either, totally smooth, fast and quiet.  I can't say enough good things about this bow.

Looks like an awesome turkey bow (love the black from the face on look), and I'm sure it shoots like all Toelke's do...Mike

Nice bow i have 4 Toelke whips now i have to start to look at the Lynx.  Does the Lynx have more mass weight then the Whips?

Jim Wright

In the same lengths the Lynx longbow will weigh about a pound more than a Whip with some variation with different woods.

I liked the way my Lynx shot with the 58" recurve limbs so much. that I had Dan build me another set of identical limbs, so now I have a set of black glass limbs and a set with gorgeous juniper veneers. Both over bamboo cores and both 51# @ 28". A work set and a dress set.
As others have said, quietest recurve I've owned and plenty quick.

Thanks guys, now I think that a set of 58" recurve limbs are needed for my Lynx. She is currently a 62" 56# @ 28" Long Bow. Much appreciated.
