I've seen it but for $99 + shipping, I imagine, I'd rather send my bow to Big Jim for $145 and know I won't screw it up.

I think you can dip 2-3 full bows with one kit...

Not to burst your bubble on this, but you won't be able to do a 3 piece or any bow longer than 60" with this kit. It will require at least two kits if you get it done right the first time which is unlikely.

I am not taking any items in for dipping at this time as I have my system up for sale, but this kit ain't worth the money. Better off using spray paint.

I tried the exact same kit and got mediocre job the first time but was out of film to try a second. Called the company to try to buy or they give me extra film to finish job right and got a No from them.

This about the 5th thread I have told my experience and hopefully the company will take notice and try to offer a better product.


Go with a business like big Jim and others if you have never done a bow before. Small stuff is easy but a bow you will probably screw up first time. I did not want to spend another 100 plus bucks to get it right on second so I spent 5 and painted it

They must have listened, you can buy the individual components now... We just bought some extra film...

I find it interesting that most folks who buy this equipment to get into the dipping business seem to get out of it pretty quickly. Is there just not enough business to make it work or is there some other reason/reasons ?? Just curious, don't mean to get off on a tangent here, thanks for the DYI info.

I think it takes a little practice to get good enough at it to start charging people... There is a taxidermist here in town using these kits on deer skulls and his work looks really good. He is charging $75/skull
