Hello Tradgangers,I just thought I would share a picture of the Bear I shot on Friday evening(May 6).The weather again this year is very cool and has really slowed down the growth of plant life in the forest. But this makes bear hunting better in my opinion because they seem to hit the baits harder than nomal. But in any case Friday was the first chance I had to hunt.It was  cool and overcast and  was suppost to rain later on.At around 5pm. a young boar came in and began to feed.I noticed he was very jumpie and only stayed for a half hour and left.An hour or so later a sow with 2 cubs came in to see what was for supper. But she also seemed on edge.It wasn't more than 15min. when I heard something coming into the bait from behind me,and it was coming fast. The sow and cubs went charging up a large spruce tree with a big boar close behind. With the sow and cubs up a tree the brown color phase bear began to feed.I watched and sized him up deciding to take him when a good shot presented its self. After 10 minutes or so he put his front paws on the barrel to roll it and gave me a perfect broadsde shot.I drew and released sending a 525grn. Beman shaft tipped with a 125grn. magnus broadhead right through him.He took of at full speed going down only 60yds.from where I hit him.I used one of my homemade bows,58"ntn and 51#@ 28".I Guessedimated him at just under 20".I hope you enjoy the pics and story, bye for now.Dell.

WOW! You Da MAN.....♠
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
