I like the rubber whiskers because they are cheap and easy to use. I buy spinner bait skirts in bulk.

I use a lot of yarn balls lately because you can make them in seconds by just wrapping 10-20 wraps around your hand, slipping them into the string and cut the ends off to the size you want.

I have found using 100% wool works better. The last longer and shed water better.

Rubber cat whiskers.....very inexpensive, go on easily, lightweight, and most importantly they quiet the bow very well.

If I need silencers, I make my own out of 100% wool yarn. Works great! If I were to have to buy some for some reason, I would go with the Hush Puppies or with the ones Big Jim sells.

It seems to me that this is another thing that everyone has their own opinion and there isn't a "best choice." I think having fur is more traditional, however  ;)

Use them all but usually wool, homemade.I Like the cat whiskers and have used beaver fur silencers. All seem to be good, but with a HH bow and heavy wooden arrows, the bow string seems quiet anyway.

Make my own outta yarn. Easy and cheap. I do have the hush puppies on one of my bows and I like them as well.

i've tried 'em all and the best by far are terry's hush puppies - ain't nothing more natural, durable and environment proof than new zealand wool ...

I like cat whiskers, makes my bow whisper quiet and they are cheap.

WRV

I use cat whiskers on some bows and hushpuppies/bowhush on others. Have made my own from wool yarn too. Would love to find a spool of wool yarn like the hushpuppies are made of......Randy

Ditto Night Wing they work great Deadly quiet

The lightest weight thing I can find, so performance is not affected. Heavy silencers can rob energy from your arrow. I usually end up using pieces of an old bow string.

I Use either Otter or Beaver hair what I have on hand when needed. Both seem to last longer than the stretch of the sting.
