Hello everyone, I'm just getting back in to shooting after some time off (2 years) with a bad back. I want to try some aluminum arrows and was look at some and need some help. I know I want 2016 but I don't know which to get, Easton Gamegetter XX75 or Easton Legacy,or something else?

bigbadjon

I prefer the camo hunters myself.

Both of those are good shafts,if you like glue-on nocks the Legacy still have swaged nock ends. The new Black Gamegetters are less expensive and I believe you can get them with swaged nocks ends or uni-bushings for push in nocks.Me personally I like the woodgrain of the Legacy's.

You also might look at the Blues or Platinums. Same alloy but sometimes as much as half the Legacy prices........

Agreed. Get the Blues to start with. Half the price doesn't hurt as much when lost or broken.

I am shooting 2117 Legacies right now. They're fine, but I'm going to take a hammer to my piggy bank this week and order a Bitz and some Gold Tip trad shafts. The wood grain on the Legacies is a little cheesy but I like the ability to glue on my nocks on the old-school swaged ends.

I prefer my aluminum arrows with uni bushings already installed on the full length shafts. This way, the arrow nock is always straight. Easton Camo Hunter in the common 2016, 2018, 2117 sizes and for my "exotic" 2212 size, Easton Eclipse X7 shafts.

I like the black Gamegetters. The .500 is the same as the 2016.

I shoot Legacys.  2216s.  I like the swaged nock end because I can just twist the nock on.  No glue needed.  I prefer this method because if a nock cracks it falls off.  With glue I have had nocks crack but stay on only to split off next time I release that arrow.

I really like my Camo Gamegetters with the uni bushings. They look great and you can get a dozen for only $50.

Easton camo hunters with uni bushings, 2016, 2114. More trad look, legacy's are nice(2016)

I buy the 2016 legacy they just look better
to me.

I always figure how I am going to use them.
If you are going to shoot a lot of targets, get the best you can afford.. They will resist bending etc. much better.
If you are going to be doing a lot of stump shooting, roving etc, where you stand a good chance of loosing them.. Buy the cheapest you can.

I like the Legacy's but also like uni-bushings so i cut the swaged end off and install my own uni-bushing.

I like the XX78 arrows over the rest.  The harder alloy is well worth the little extra cost.  They really seem more resistant to bending than the XX75
