Ron La Clair called this week to let me know that I'm near the top of the list for my new shrew.  I've ordered a 56" classic hunter and would like some input on bow quivers.  I already have great northern strap on and selway quick detach.  What works best for you?  thanks, jim

Best overall I have used is the Eagle Flight Archery quiver with the Totem pole that turns it into a one piece quiver. Some people like the extension that allows the quiver to be angled. Make sure to tell Don you are putting the quiver on a Shrew Classic Hunter so he can make the Totem the correct length. A second excellent quiver is the Kanati. I particularly like the Kanati Slim Jim when only 2 bladed broadheads are used.

A kanati slim jim would look sweet on that bow, but A pro hood kanati would look sharp too. talk to john, he's got some awesome new features on his quivers..

I second the Eagles Flight Quivers. Can't beat their strap on attachment plus Don and Karen are fantastic folks to deal with......Randy

I have a strap-on Kanati with a shrew on the side that I bought from Ron's shop a few years back.  Its been a great quiver. Other than that, I would go with whatever Ron LaClair recommends.  After all, he designed the bow. - John

I have 2 shrews and use Great Northern Strap-on quivers for both of them.  they have worked well and I like the extra weight on the bow.

I have a 58" Kanati longbow that is somewhat similar in shape to the Shrews and I have a Kanati Pro hooded strap-on quiver mounted on it and it works great. I have it mounted so it angles back towards the shooter so the fletching on the arrows is out of the way better. It works really good this way when you're lowering your bow down from your treestand because your arrow knocks don't get buried in the dirt as easily.

Like this:

Or you can choose to mount it like this(but I like the first way much better):

Either way works great. The Kanati quiver, as you can see, is very versatile.

I've used a Great Northern on my Super Shrew Samurai and that worked well. The link below shows my Samurai with the Kanati that I like as well. I know Ron really likes the Eagle Flight now.  We're lucky we have lot's of good choices.

I never liked a quiver on my bow till I bought my first Eagle's Flight. It is so small, light, quiet, and fits like a glove that you really don't even know it is on there. We own 3 EF quivers now and you cannot beat the customer service from Don. JMHO

Jim, I've got the Eagles Flight quivers now with the Shrew Logo stamped on them. I haven't got them on the web site yet but give me a call. I've got both the 3 arrow and the 4 arrow with the totem and the wing which I like on my Classic Hunter.

The Wing sets the arrows back more in line with the limb of the bow.
