Took me 2 weeks to catch this sly old bird. He roosted in the same area most every day, for some reason or another I would always zig when he zagged. But sat. morning we met. I was actually on my way back to the house when I heard him gobble, the first time. Best I could tell he was on the other side of the highway, maybe in the edge of my cornfield. I took off towards the call when he hit again he was more to the left and in the woods, then I first thought. I had to cross an open field then the road, after figuring out how I was going to do this and not be seen I took off. When I crossed the road he gobbled again 50-75 yds away. I was able to move a few yards closer with the aid of a grownup old fence row. I finally saw him coming up the gravel drive to the farm next door in full strut. It was driving me "CRAZY" hearing his wings scraping the gravel, him gobbling all within 20 ft and no, repeat no shot, finally he stuck his head out for a shot. The rest is in the pictures.
