It has been a real busy week........
After winning the longbow mens section at North Albert I went for a hunt with a mate of mine that does a bit of guiding for bowhunters.I really needed a break to recharge after some trying weeks at work and Wayne was keen to get out bush without having to help out a client. The property was quieter game wise than I remembered it but as we were not really chasing trophys just some meat we still did ok.These goats are the first game taken with this bow but the performance with carbon arrows and outback supreme b/heads was impressive.Anyway some meat was collected and I feel about 5 years younger so it was a great trip.
Cheers KIM..

Looks like you had a great hunt. Nice looking longbow. What make is it? A hunt always recharges the batteries.

Dryfired

Good stuff. Looks like some fun country to hunt in, and some good tucker as a result. With all the rains those goats are going to boom this season.

That looks like a blast. What does it take for a out of country guy to hunt there?Goat hunting here isnt as good after they closed it on Santa Catalina Island.Sure did have some good hunts there.

Congrats! looks like fun. I see that you're wearing gators,is that a 'most have' to hunt there?
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Thanks guys for all the nice comments. Its really easy to get onto game like this here in my area(about 3 hours away)the goats are not the trophy goats many guys like to hunt so there are always some meat goats getting about and I do LOVE hunting them in this type of gorge and cliff country with many shots being taken at steep angles. If someone from OS wants to hunt goats like this just let me know and I should be able to help it is 25 dollars a day for staying on the property but it has a nice little hunting cabin to stay in so it is very cheap. No trophy fees apply and you may also get onto pigs on the same place so we do have it good here.I am not connected with the place at all I just hunt there.
Piggy that is the bow from the expo.It is the first time I wore gaiters as it with all the rain we have had the grass is FULL of seed that burrow into socks and pants making it a pain after the hunt they worked well and I will be wearing them in the future.
Cheers KIM
