I have done a few searches and can't find anything.....
I got a new WisperStik on the way and I'm gathering all my stuff to get ready to tune it.  I want to start with a plain shaft...
What can I use to get all the decals off my arrows?  I'm not talking about wraps.... I'm talking about the maker and size of arrow... ie (carbon express 60/75)...

All carbons are not the same. DO NOT use acetone on the surface on a Beman MFX Traditional shaft where your fletching will be glued/taped. They specifically reccomend 91% isopropyl alcohol and my experience has led me to agree with them.

Not just Beman - same with Easton. I'd avoid using acetone on any carbon shaft.

I have carbon express el cheepo's..... but them have been good shafts thus far.  I have tried alcohol and it didn't do anything.  Maybe I wasn't using the right kind.  Is there different kinds?

I've removed decals from gold tip trads with 91% Iso Alcohol.

I use a razor knife and gently scrape off the decal then clean any residual with the 91% alcohol.

RM81, and the isopropyl doesn't take off the trad wood grain? I've got a dozen XT trad shafts inbound.

I have used acetone on hundreds of CE and Gold Tip arrows to remove the decals.  Just wet a paper towel or rag in the acetone and it will come off in a few swipes.  I also 000 steel wool a shaft then a quick wipe with acetone before I wrap or fletch my carbons. Never had a problem.  Don't have any experience with Beman/Easton carbons though.

I use acetone as well and it works great. I wouldn't soak the arrow in it but a couple of wipes shouldn't hurt anything.

I've used acetone on CX for years with zero bad effects.  I have scraped most of the decal and then used acetone.

I used goo gone on my 250's and it took off the black and white labling both. It only takes a little bit and it takes off 99%. There is a little left but not much.

On Beeman and Easton shafts I have used very fine steel wool with good results. It did not affect the wood grain pattern on the shafts at all.

Hasn't for me.  I've used it on GT trads and camos.  I got a pack of those circular cotton swabs in the beauty section and they worked great with the alc.  I think the acetone would probably work quicker, but I felt safer using the iso alc.
