I was digging through some of my old archery stuff this morning and found a fletching jig I bought at a going out of business sale at an archery shop in Oklahoma.  It is a Jo Jan multi-fletcher.  I have the six jigs that go with it and want to start building my arrows.  The jigs are helical twist.  My question is does it matter whether I use RW or LW feathers and if so how do I tell which to use in my jig?

BOWMARKS

Yes it does matter which feather you use!! A left helical clamp will twist to the left and visa versa. If you look down the feather from the back end you will see the qiull sticks out on the right side of the feather for a left handed feather.I am sure there will be some photos or something shortly.

You need to match the correct fletch with the jig..(clamp). There are some great pics of helical fletch. My left wing helical twists to the left so right must...Good luck.

Thanks for the help guys!  The clamps I have twist to the left from the nock end forward and the feathers I have are RW so I guess I need to order some LW feathers.  Thanks again.
