Fred, how 'bout a picture of the bottom and where did you get your materials?

Unless you have a month in hot weather to let it dry, cut your linseed oil with at least 50% turpentine/mineral spirits.  I believe the ratio is on the linseed oil can.  I linseed oiled the cedar strip floor of a new skiff I completed last summer and the cut linseed would dry overnight while 100% linseed or even a high ratio took forever.

Very nice Speedbump. Where did you get the materials?

Hey Greg sorry for the delay in responding...the bottom is a disc cut out of 1/2 " plywood, then I put a grove in the center of the disc (along the 1/2 edge) all the way around. Then I put the material in and glued it like the spokes of a wheel.....The material can be purchased at tons of websites just punch in "basket weaving supplies"...
