Older longbows, heavy wood arrows, pure pleasure

Recently traded for a couple of Great Northern Critter Gitters, my favourite longbow. One of them was an older Osage 62" 68@28. Lovely mellow Osage, plenty of Mojo on this bow. Thought about changing the grip but I don't want to mess with the Mojo.
Anyway took her out today and teamed her up with some Ipe footed Surewood shafts. Anyway this combination was a pure delight, quiet and you could tell the Critter Gitter was delivering that arrow with some solid Oomph.

I shot an old browning for a long time.  now i shoot a bow that was actually made after I was born! Im with you when it comes to wood arrows, cant beat em!  :thumbsup:

They are awesome.... I can always pick mine up and hit were i look.. and it is super quiet..Gotta love em..

There is definatly somthing about longbows and wood arrows.Kinda like pizza and beer they just go together.
