im starting to look for a new bow and have been leaning tward a longbow. i want the R/D design preferably. with a center shot riser. want the center shot cause i only shoot 45-50lbs and its very hard to find carbon and alum arrows that shoot well from a longbow of that poundage thats not center shot. fast flight compatible would be nice to lol.   ;)  just need some bowyers so i can start looking without going through them all. i will be keeping my eyes on the bow classifieds. thanks guys

Lots, if you have one custom made most bowyers will get it to center for you and probably cut past center if that is what you want depending on their riser design. Shawn

Look into the Annawaekee Addiction Longbow a smoking 56" r/d bow! My boy shoots one and I am very impressed with it.

Jason at JK Traditions makes his longbows cut to center. My specs are in there with yours and I get great arrow flight with my carbons from my Kanati. High performance string included.

I would venture to say that all of todays R/D longbows are center cut and past.

beeler is center cut and a pretty nice shooter.  think most can make you a center shot riser if you request it

I believe most of your more classic looking longbows with narrow/deep core limbs and narrow risers are cut to about 1/16th-1/8th of center in general. Some are center shot

I think you will find most any of the more Moderate to radical R and D bows.Sometimes called hybrids can be cut to center and most are probably? All of mine have been.So it should not be a problem to find one thats center shot second hand.

Most of the more Mild R and D bows I have have had and reflex and straight limb have been cut shy of center.Like Great Northern Critter Gitters,Berrys,Robertson,Liberty etc.

Sixby

I cut all of my bows 1/8 to 3/16 past center . I will cut wherever a customer wants it though. My onepiece bows are a medium heavy d and r.
There are some really great bowyers on this site so be sure to check them all out.
God bless you, steve

Jim Jones Firefly is cut 3/16th past and is a great shooter.

I'll second Jim Jones Firefly bows, I only shoot carbons out of mine. It is cut to center and has a 8 strand D-10 string on it. Easy to tune, fast and quiet. Worth a look.

You could go with a metal or wood ILF riser say from Bob Morrison and a set of acs ilf limbs from Dryad. You can adjust center shot to whatever you want.

I agree. Alot of bowyers will cut it to or past center upon request.

Our 3 pc risers are now all cut 3/16 past center.  That includes the Epic ILF series and the Orion bolt down bows.  The ILF has two longbow limbs available Epic and Legend ACS.
