Huntin' Texas

Hi guys, I'm new to TG under the circumstances, I've been a member for a few years as Aram Barsch, and now I've registered a profile for Longfellow Ranch. I'm the new wildlife manager here, (over 350,000 acres).
We are now sponsers of Trad Gang, and proud to be so. Longfellow hired me in part to get the ranch on the map of the archery world. I do believe that we have some awfully good opportunities here, from the unusual Trans Pecos strain of Mule Deer to whitetail to hordes of Javelina to Rio Grand Turkey to Truely wild Elk and Aoudad.

We've had several last minute Turkey hunt cancelations, and we're offering really discounted last minute hunts for Rio Grand Turkeys (two toms) at half price right now, and we will throw in a couple Javelinas. I really want to get the bowhunting started this year so if you are interested in helping me look me up.

Good luck and good hunting to Ya'll

Best, Aram. "Huntin'Texas"

Im in for javis, reeeeeeeeal soon! Do you feed the roads or hunt them on fixed stands?

Huntin' Texas

The Javelina do come to the feeders, but there are plenty enough to hunt them spot and stalk.

Aram sent me a quick response to some questions and thier web site is very well managed represetning them well.  Based only on those two criteria, it appears they are a quality operation.

The pricing he sent on this is very reasonalble too, if someone is looking to still head out in 2011 this looks like a good deal on an enjoyable Texas experience.

Charles, thank you for your friendly words. The website is still under construction, but is comming along.
For Ya'll who are interested, our 2011 two turkey two javelina hunt cost is $750 for three days.

Aram, I looked at your site and found no information on non-resident license fees so I went to the Texas dept. of wildlife's site and found nothing on elk licenses, what are the non-resident license fees?

Huntin' Texas

Jim, the ELk are not indiginous to Texas so there is no license fee. A non res. hunting license will give you tags for about everything else in Texas and costs around $315.

Jack Guard

Gosh Dern it,  i will be away all of April.  Man, sounds like a great hunt.  Looks like i will have to keep an eye out for the future.
