Folks, I'm not sure if you all are aware of this, but G.Fred Asbell will be inducted this month in THE ARCHERY HALL OF FAME.

Although I've never mr Mr Asbell in person, I have spoken with him a couple of years ago and recently had a couple of very nice conversations with Mrs Asbell.

Just think, how cool is this that someone that has done so much for traditional archery and, most importantly, is still with us to be able to have his close friends and family enjoy this honor with him.

Again, congratulations Mr. Asbell, a well deserved a honor for a friend to our wonderful sport.

Yep, well deserved honor for all he has done for bowhunting, and traditional archery in particular.

The really cool thing about Fred being inducted this year is that he will go in right alongside William "Chief" Compton, the namesake of Compton Traditional Bowhunters.  Fred of course has been a guiding force and is the immediate past president of Compton, so being inducted along with Chief is so very appropriate and quite an honor.

Congratulations and thanks for all you have done!!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
