Whats your opinion on 600gr.plus.arrow for a 43lb.longbow.Would you consider this to heavy of an arrow??

I would think so,I would stay in the 10 grain per pound range. That 600 grain arrow will be in the rainbow range.IMO

I shoot 575 grain arrows from a 40 lb. recurve & they are great for what I need them to do. Which is shooting at 25 yards & under. So... as long as your happy with your trajectory I don't think they're too heavy.

A 600 plus grain arrow seems to be a lot out of a 43# @ 26 inches bow... but, if you are getting excellent arrow flight and are going to hunt with a SHARP broadhead within 20 yds, it might be just the ticket for the best possible penetration with a well placed arrow.

It is a personal preference thing, and ow it flies is way more important than numbers will ever be.

Agree. Last year, I shot a very heavy 602 grain 2117 aluminum arrow out of my 42# @ 30" recurve. It really did a number on my bag target at 20 yards and under.

If your flight is good and the trajectory meets your needs, then your golden.

Would expect this set-up to be great for 20 yards and in.
