My middle finger is becming more sensitive to shooting. I shot about 12 arrows this morning and stopped. My groups were off due to the pain.

This just started.

I'm not interested in tabs.

If you know of a glove that has thicker leather for the fingertips please let me know. I'm currently using a cow leather one from Neet. The leather is maybe 1/16 or so thick. Looking for something about 1/8 thick or thicker like Bison leather or 5/6 or 6/7oz cowhide. Maybe even 7/8oz.

Big Shot gloves!  A little pricey and they take a little getting used to (a day or two) but offer good finger protection and a good release.

Dura-glove from 3 rivers, tried them all, this one works best for me. You can still feel the string and offers ample finger protection.

I like the Superglove.

The Bear Paw should remedy the issue on your 50# bow. I know that even with sore fingers I can barely discern the string at full draw on a 51# bow.

I do prefer the Big Shot since I prefer more string-feel and still offers adequate protection even with sore fingers.

This info is coming from a tab guy who has leaned on gloves when fingers were quite sore. Since trying the two aforementioned gloves, I am using them predominantly. These are my pics of the seven different ones I have tried.

I just bought a Dura-glove, way to soft, hurt my fingers. Sold it after 50 shots. Got a Super Glove to replace it, really like it. Much thicker leather and the cordovan leather is really slick.

The new crossover glove from American Leathers works very well for me with my 58 lbs. bows! It gives all of the finger protection of the old Hill glove, doesn't crease, and provides a very slick release. You can get them direct from AL or from Big Jim. I tried the Dura-glove, and while it gives a very good release, it doesn't offer enough protection for me.

Check out Alaska Bowhunting Supply there gloves are great.  They used to have one in ballistic nylon finger tip but it looks as though they have dropped it. It was a great glove.  The mega tuf is also go and you can still feel the string with excellent finger protection.

I had the very same prob. my middle finger hurt so bad just behind the first joint, i tried a few different gloves then i went to the hardware store and bought a pair of heavy leather work gloves and now the pain is gone. Sounds kinda strange, i know but it worked. I still use it.

I can't stand a thick glove. I generally use a deerskin "Dura-Glove" like they sell in 3 Rivers. It has Cordura on the tips and seems to wear better than a regular Berlin Deerskin glove. With me it's generally my ring finger that takes the abuse. When it starts to get sore I simply wrap the tip of the finger with a band aid for a while and that helps a lot.

I had the same problem and I moved to the Super Glove and I have had it four 5 years and still love it!!. also no more pain.

I just bought a Dura-Glove. It's thick enough without losing string feel, and has really smooth release...but I can see that if you're shooting a lot (say more than 60 arrows a session) you might want something thicker. I say this because after about 70 - 80 arrows my fingers start feeling a little sore. With my previous glove it was after about 30-40.

If I'm shooting a lot I'll get a callus on my fingers - then I don't have to worry as much about finger pain.  

there is aglove for everyone try them all i settled on the bateman glove w inserts its the one ferguson uses i think still cant shoot like him though
