for those of you who do not know Ron Waldron let me tell ya a nicer guy you will not meet! most times i feel ashamed about the amount (LOTS!) of things i ask for him to make me as his traditional skills are unbelieavable! from making me a bow, arrows, fixing my stinky mocks, leather work, quivers you name it! his wood carving skills are in a class of their own, OUTSTANDING!!! well let me tell you he out did himself this time on something most would think is really neat but no big deal. i wear a haversack where ever i go and a year ago Ron made me one from an old pair of plaid wool pants which i love. ok, now i have had a pair of old wool pants that were my grandfathers that finally gave up the ghoast and wore out but i couldn't bring myself to throw them away. after looking at the bag Ron had made me i brought the pants to him and asked him if he could make me a "simple" small bag. well i stopped down yesterday and could not believe what he did! he incorporated the auctual back pocket of the pnats to be used as an inner pocket, BUTTON AND ALL! just AWESOME!!!! the flap of the bag is the pant leg! talk about a bag with some serious mojo! my grandfather was Art Macintyre and he died when i was young, i did get some time around him and have fond memories. he was a master carpenter and his work is still all over this small time where he lived. Ron i REALLY owe ya one man, can't even express what this "simple" bag means to me bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
