When making the switch. Has anyone had any experience with keeping spine and point weight the same?

Ex. 2117 legacy cut 30.125 w/ 200gr up front = 400 Beman Classic MFX cut 30.125 w/ 200gr up front.

Thanks,

Brian

I find you can't compare aluminums and carbons even if they have a similar spine. Those two you mentioned have different diameters and carbons react different then aluminum.Thats been my experience.

IMO i think that the molecular composition of both are completely different, which will alter the pattern in which both materials shoot, and respond to point weights. I would say just experiment again and see whats best

The previous advice is right on. Carbon does not behave the same as aluminum. You just have to try to see what works for you. Stu's calculator is a great starting point.

I agree also. Carbon recovers alot quicker than the aluminum. Tends to make them act a little stiffer IMO.
