Since my son had to work this morning, I was on the fence about going to this year's Ohio Deer and Turkey Expo.  That is until I learned that Gene Wensel was going to be one of the speakers.  With that bit of info, going was a no-brainer.

After I arrived, I learned that not only was Gene there, but so was Barry and Mike Mitten - better and better.  I greatly enjoyed speaking with them before Gene's lecture and again later after my son showed up.  These guys are a wealth of great info and are a blast to chat with.

Two of the four seminars I attended were given by traditional bowhunters for whom I have tremendous respect (the other was Byron Ferguson with his trick shooting show).  Not bad!

Now my son and I are nearly done watching (for the first time) Essential Encounters Primal Dreams II that I bought from Gene.  Primal Dreams set the bar awfully hight but I believe I like Essential Encounters even better (in spite of Gene's singing).

This was a pretty good Saturday for one occurring outside the regular hunting season!

Yeah I brought the boys down some pizza, but it wasn't the hottest so I hope it was okay.  It was nice to see all them again though.

I wish they could release a new edition every week. I have all of their dvd's and videos and watch them alot. Essential Encounters was another great piece of work. Beautiful job guys. Keep em coming.

I got mine in the mail today, and it just so happens than I am home from work with an "acute bi-lateral infection" (Bad ear infection in both ears) so I got to watch it uninterrupted.

While I can`t hear the music so good, the images and feeling came through just fine.

I hope those guys know just how important they are to all of us.

Certainly made my day alot better!
