Does anyone shoot a Traps feather rest on a longbow?

I don't always use a feather rest on my longbows, but if I did, I would choose Trap's.

Shoot straight my friend.    :archer2:

I got one for my 1959 recurve that is 68" long...sort of a R/D longbow. Love the look and the arrow flight.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I have one on my bear montana longbow. I love it. Keep a spare in my tackle box. Seemed to improve my shooting, but I'm still a newby to traditional so I might just be getting better. Still I noticed some instant improvement in my consistency right away.  Hope this helps you.

macbow

I use one on my longbows.
One is a R/d bamboo backed osage that I made. The rest seems to make my bamboo arrows shoot better.

They are more durable than you might expect.

Here is my take on the durability issue...I am shooting original featherrests on all four of my 1960 Bear bows

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Dave has a point here.  I have purchased a few old timers from the late 50's with original feather rests.  Trap's rests will most likely still be on bows 50 years down the road.
