I am getting ready to break in a new string from Ten Ring, Fury 18 strand, how many shots does it need before I set nocking point?

I check my strings after about 40 arrows. Only one that changed was a B55 he made me. I had to add a couple twists to get brace height back to my preference. Did not change my nock point. My new Fury string I added a couple twists but not sure if that was because  took bow apart for travel. I have about 500 arrows through it at this time. IMO he does a good job in stretching the strings before shipping. I have another of his strings n my longbow but not made from Fury. It has preformed well also.

I'd shoot about 100 or so and check everything.  Should be good to go.  I love the Fury material.

I'm with Wingnut.  100 or so.

I make a temporary either with a loosely crimped nock point or a dental floss whipped knot and once the string is stable (holds the same brace height for the full session when shot) I make it permanent.

As I am shooting I am checking for arrow flight and release noise.  But it ain't over until that string is stable.  Be sure to add the silencers if used and get them "shot in" as well.

why not just tie on an adjustable one?

The floss you can twist to go up or down the serving.  Two will work as good as one as a temporary (or permanent!) nock point.

is it normal for the brace to need a little adjustment from time to time even with hundreds of shots?

I don't know about fury, but my D97 strings occasionally need a twist.

Landon, the Fury is very stable (as you probably know). I pre-stretch them to remove as much stretch as possible. After the first or second shooting session, it should move very little- if any.

I still normally shoot a new string for a week or so before I secure my tie on nock sets down.

Give me a ring if you have any other questions.

My Allen b55 took fifty shots and sat strung over night. It has not stretched a bit since love his strings. I have another one on the way right now.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

I really like the tie on knocks Allen offers. They have the beauty of being able to be twisted up and down until you get your tune just right then just a dab up super glue keeps them in place.
