Tranformation

It has only been a few short months with the community and my shooting and come back to the sport has been nothing short of transformative. I went from I think I am split finger instinctive shooter to a 3 under gap shooter.  My consistency is so much better and I am loving all the bulleyes that I am getting with my now home made arrows... In fact speaking of projects just built a bow rack.  



You will notice there is room for one more bow up there.  And the even more fantastic news is that I will be getting one in the coming weeks still deciding between a maddog prairie predator and bear montana.... Drool..

It was just nice to take a min and see how far I have traveled in a just a few months.

There is a whole lot more to the journey! It is a never ending journey that is worth every minute of the ride!

Looks great! Good thing you left the bottom flat. It will allow you to easily add some more wood for the third and fourth bows. It is a grand journey

Part of me wants Montana because the one I am looking at is 65 pounds no problem for me and a rediculous deal..... Or I could get lighter tackle maybe a 40 or 45 pounder for small game..... Decisions.

I'm my opinion, if you can handle 65# with no problems I wouldn't get a 40-45# bow. I think you'll be more consistent in your shooting if you stay around the same draw weight with all your bows, whatever that weight is. Just my opinion

Yes.... interesting. right now I shoot a 55lbs pounder which at my draw is 50 and the 65 would be about 60 at my draw.  I went to the range today and probably shot 150 shots and had no shooting fatigue.  So I think I would not even have a problem with 60lbs. I was thinking lighter tackle to just shoot squirrels and stuff.  Maybe not but I feel like a 65 pound bow on small game might be over kill.
