I knew 3 other bow hunters around that property that had picks of him. One of the spots gets rifle hunted hard, I found his bedding area mushroom and shed hunting on the next propert over and a couple sheds but never went back didn't want to push him out going in there every year.

He lived in that hole only coming out in the dark or in the rut from what we could tell every year. Even though it sounds like I had him patterned I think it was the other way around and the most daytime sightings were always midday during the rut.

I was not hunting him specifically just got to know him after so many years. I saved everything from him including that knee joint and will do a niice display around his mount.

The best hunting story I've ever heard. Very rare to have such a long history with one deer. Proud of you Tracy!
