Hunt the wind, even if it's blowing 35mph!!!

Yesterday am, I saw a nice 10 cross the pasture towards my stand. Problem was, I was getting the boys ready for the bus!! After the bus left, I hit the stand. Grunted and rattled but all I saw was a 4, that I would have shot, had he been in range! Legal here. Left the stand at 10:30.
Grammy came over to get the boys off the bus, so I hit the stand at 3pm.
Radar showed some rain, but I won't melt. Wind was fairly stiff, but it's just a common breeze in Iowa or Wyoming!!! I can called and grunted on the VECtor at 430, nothing showed. Hit the grunter again at 5:00, as loud as I could and 5 min later, here he came! With the wind he was at 20 yds and losing before I saw him.
He was quartered to me pretty hard as I drew, but he turned enough at 7 yds for the shot. Good pass thru but he ran hard out of sight. Sparse trail but found him about 200 yds away. Was still quartered to me a bit!
My best net deer with any weapon. Gross 164+ and net 157+.
