Oh I also forgot to mention that when I got down and went to the spot where I hit him it just smelled of rutting buck. I didn't wait long to get down because I didn't want to fall out of the tree I was shaking so bad.

Congrats on a fine buck. Great story and pics to go with it. I'd say he's no older than 3 1/2, at least around here that's what a 3 1/2 year old looks like. Nice big body = lots of meat in the freezer!

FYI, the shot in the pictures is the exit hole AND he broke my arrow! Another carbon down. Out of the last five deer I shot they broke four of them but I'm glad to pay that price.
