made my first piece of archery tackle !

i am a newbie in trad archery (even non trad). after getting a complete set of gear i put on the muzzy 3 blade broadheads on the arrows and kept them in my quiver. they dulled up quite fast and i must admit, the several tries i made on a couple of targets and resultant misses did not help.
i read the earlier works of Maurice Thompson, Pope and Howard Hill. i have been leaning more and more towards making all my tackle ala oldtimers and decided to give one component a go.

made this broadhead of a circular saw blade and a ferrule i had made on a lathe. the ferrule is riveted on and not brazed or soldered. i was going for a single bevel edge and chickened out making a hybrid of the single/double bevel.
i sharpened it with a file and flatstone. stropping with leather dressed with 2000 grit alox gave me a shaving sharp edge.

tip modification pending. even now the tip is a true coc - testified to by my rt index finger. wt 267.6 grains
seems i gotta get heavier spine arrows !
next step is arrow making. got some river cane lined up , looking to get a feather chopper from 3 rivers and a fletching jig.
