Good luck Ron. I'll be thinking of you.

Well I made it home after the overnight in the Hospital. Pain block is starting to wear off and I can really feel it. I need a nap and then I have to go to the gym to start to work this knee. Hopefully I can get this moving .....so I can hunt some this year.

Ron, don't be too quick to head into the woods; any little mishap can set you back.  Hang in there.

I hope it all works and goes smoothly.  Good luck!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Don't know how I missed this earlier.
Hope you are doing better and keeping that range of motion going in the knee.

Sorry to hear this, Ron. Best of luck in your rehab! I hope you're able to hunt this season and wish you a speedy recovery!

Well the pain blocker wore off about noon time today.........holy cow........but I went to the gym to get it moving this afternoon. It's like starting all over again. Back to PT on Monday and maybe I can shoot a bit next week.

Sometime things don't go as planned, hopefully plan B will get you back to normal.  Be sure to ask the therapist and doc about any concerns, or question. I discovered a problem I had was related to an old knee injury in 2006, it was continually stiff and causing other problems, but a stretching exercise helped cure the problems. I read an article by a trainer in Western Hunter, and thought about what a physical therapist told me, about the need for stretching, it worked.  Take care and get well.

Sorry that the new knee is giving you problems. I had my right knee done in May . Three weeks in I was on the lawn tractor and trying to hook the lawn sweeper . I heard a loud yeeping and before I knew what was going on I got ran over by my 85 lbs Labrador that was chasing my neiborers  dog out of the yard. So much for needing manipulation ! Fortunely no damage done but it did tear the scar tissue ! No Doc needed.
But talk about och!

Hud, you think Ron Wants to get NORMAL...His Normal might be a tick off bubble, me thinks!

After the esophagus problem post surgery that laid him up and off his rehab, this seems about par and given how ugly it could have been on both counts, I'm sure Ron is glad to be back in the saddle and moving forward...albeit a day late and dollar (weeks?) short!

Keep the Son in your eyes, Ron... this too shall pass!

Rehab/PT started again today......just like starting over. The young lady who is working with me says I need to take baby steps and not try to jump the fence all at once. It's brutal, and painful but it has to be done so we will push forward. Thanks to all for the support and encouraging words. Hope to get out in the late season [fingers crossed]......   :notworthy:

Rehab is more about attitude then toughness, perhaps?

I got some new exercises to do to strengthen myself for my own knee replacement and over-did it first time thru... and ended up with such back pain I couldn't straighten up or walk hills on a recent hunt.

Only good part was the hurricane dumped so much rain we hardly got to be in the wood.  Bad news is that I got dog sick thru whatever...

Tough can be stupid... a Can Do attitude can get you thru... listen to the PT and "steady as she goes!"
