A little fun with a frisbee
« on: August 29, 2015, 10:44:00 PM »
My buddy Jon thought this would be fun to post so here you go.  My son is getting into frisbee golf and was out in the yard practicing last week.  I came up from hunting groundhogs and took a shot at one with a broadhead, since that's all I had in my quiver.  He wasn't very happy with my choice of tips so I convinced him to let me try again if I swapped out for some big rubber blunts.  I figured I'd get my wife involved with the camera just in case.

I'd like to say I got on one right away but to be honest the golf frisbees are small and fast!  He has three frisbees and I hit the first one in the second round!  So it took me 6 tries to figure out the flight pattern.  Yes... I too was surprised!

The blunt still marked the frisbee so game over....oh well!  Enjoy!

Good shot!

That is some on target shooting.  And a fast moving target to boot!

There we go Tim!    :clapper:    I still want to try this shot. Not saying I'll hit it but I'd like try. Maybe if we get bored in Nov.

Good shooting. Try this with frisbee's, tape foam cups on top and have them thrown from the side.

Impressive, Tim.  I'd need a shotgun to hit that target.

Great shot! Ever go for pheas? If safety, local laws and losing arrows (lots of ifs)is not an issue, I would recommend regular fletch for pheas. I have seen lots of guys show up at pheas hunts with 6 fletch flu flus they have never practiced with, they drop dramatically after about 10 yards.

We use to hunt pheasants ever year but have gotten away from it,  or better phrased, haven't made the time.  I always took a regular fletched shaft and mounted three five inch unchopped feathers in the middle.  We always shot broad heads at pheasants and just made sure the dog was leashed.
