Who always goes back to that OK bear grizzly and still hunts with one?

I have a 59 Grizzly that I shoot about once a month. I haven't hunted with it for a couple of years though...maybe this year

The first trad bow I ever hunted with was a 69 bear grizzly. Great bows

Bear Grizzly 45#@28"....is the first real bow that I started with at 12 yrs old in 1962....They will still get the job done....no doubt about it. Enjoy

hello, in my opinion the bear grizzly [ when Fred made the final design change] is the finest bow at any price point, the feel in the hand [to me] is what sold me, i feel like it was custom made just for me. rich pyle

I own two Grizzlies. A 70's and a 63 dog leg. Both fun to shoot!

My 71/72 Grizzly is my every day bow.

This has been Bear's workhorse for well over 50 years.  For those who did not need all the "frills" of the Kodiak or Kodiak Special (or could not see paying the extra few bucks), this bow gets the job done rather well.

Just look at all those people looking for the older Grizzlys.

BTW, I'm still looking for a nice 1964-65 zebrawood Grizzly around 40-50#.   :D

My cousin just got one on the big auction site. It's an early 70s. I don't think it was shot more that a dozen times. It was literally brand new. What luck!

Same here... after it broke I moved onto the dark side but now I have a  68 Grizzly and hunt with it often.

I have shot and enjoyed many other years grizzly as well from mid 50's through the mid 70's.  They are a consistent, well performing bow. One of my favorites actually.

Grizzlies are fabulous.  I hunt with one often.  58", 62", 56" they are all great!

I have a 64 Grizzly 50@28 which shoots awsome but only shoot it once in awhile....i know its not right and should shoot it more but i really love my longbows.

My '59 Grizzly is the best bow I've ever shot. I own a few Bears, and a VERY nice Hill Country Bobcat, but the Grizzly just does it for me.
Usually after not shooting it for a while, I can put my first arrow in the money.

I do the same thing with my 1972 Grizzly....I pick that bow up after a long break and can just hit with it.

I do find myself shooting my 1959/1960 Bear Alaskans more than anything else now though.  It's hard to go wrong with a Grizzly though!
