Anyone still do the 5 degree taper on the point end?

How dose it affect spine compared to an insert and screwin point if point weight is equal?
"Four fletch white feathers and 600 grains is a beautiful thing."

I'm interested in this as well.

The last I heard Mikes Archery in Ironton, Ohio was still doing that.  Of course that was 4 years ago.

I shoot 2117's swagged and with inserts and there is no problem with arrow flight. I had Mike's Archery do my swagging.

I took a 2117, screwed in a BHA and measured the total length to the end of the adapter. Had my swagged arrows cut to the exact length.
"Neal...is this heaven?" "No Piute but we are dam close". Top of the Mtn in Medicine Bow Nat Forest.
