Years ago I won an Ameristep outhouse and proceeded to vent the top with my recuve limb in the back yard and the put it away to collect dust.  I now have a three year old son that I want to take out for turkeys and a pop up is probably the best way to go. Is there any that you longbow guys like that is tall enough?

Bernie B.

Yes, the Barronett "Big Mike"  is the way to go.  It has a height of 80" and low windows.  The Barronett 350 is also a nice blind with an 80" height and roomier.  The windows are higher though and require a stool instead of a chair.  Both are well made.

Look at Hidden Hunter blinds. Plenty of longbow clearance and the windows are low enough to shoot game that is close.

WESTBROOK

Hidden hunter for me...I've shot up to 66" longbows out of it. I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it...can't see any thing but nice for adding or removeing clothes or stretching the legs. Sets up so quick and easy its rediculous.

Hidden Hunter. Mine is an older model, have had it for quite a while. I think they have made some improvements. This was my turkey set up this spring.

I like the setup on the hidden hunter.   I'll need to start saving my pennies. Thanks guys

Gander Mountain carries an 80" tall one. They also have the Big Mike Blind I like the windows better in the Gander Mountain label one.

The new blinds have 2 different Predator camo patterns and stainless steel frame rods.

The only problem I have with the HH is the width.  My arrow has to stick out the window and it makes it hard to draw on close turkeys without being seen.

Which new blinds are you referring to? Thanks.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

We have a GM in town. I'll check it out tonight.

Barronet big mike extra tough. Plenty of room and low windows that you can configure in all sorts of ways and it won't break the bank.

The double bull recurve modle I shot 68" longbow out of it a little heavey to tote far but a lot of room inside.

I've never even been near a HH, but I've had the same problem with other blinds that may be tall enough, but they're not wide enough.

I shoot 66" bows out of my Double Bulls...I have the older Matrix 360 (pre-PRIMOS) and also the more recent Double-Wide.  I can stand in the blinds...and with stool towards rear and bow canted slightly I am able to shoot with plenty of room to spare.

I've been using a Big Mike for the past couple of years. Plenty of room for my Hill style longbows, 64-68". I use a fold up camping chair and the windows are set perfect for the height. I'd like to get a HH blind just because how fast and quiet they can be set up. Quite a difference in price as well.
