I have the autumn oak..... and I simply LOVE it!

I have no regrets  what-so-ever.

God bless,

Very nice looking bows! Sure wish Wednesday was here!

I have a 62" I would part with if your interested

dad

Tell me about it. I'm looking for 40# and under at 28". The bow will be for leagues and 3-D no hunting with it. I have the Arthritis in my release hand. I'm right handed. I have never shot a PL longbow that's why I'm doing the try out program

Got the demo bow and I really like it. It's a PLX and has the bamboo in the limbs. How much of a differance between the PLII and PLIII without. Are they just as smooth? Anyone shoot both and would like to tell me about your experience?  I know the PLV is a little more money for the Bamboo. Just wondering if its worth it or not!

I have been shooting a PL II Greybark for a little under a week and can't believe I've shot for as long as I have without even making an effort to own one.  Black Widow bows live up to their reputation in every way.

Just shooting it I don't think at that weight you will notice any difference. The bamboo is smoother on the draw

What do you  think about the sure grip vs beaver tail for the grip wrap?

Recurve Amigo

I have a 62" 45#@27" TD PLV with Toby grip and beavertail you'll like it over the sure grip

dad

I have the length figured out 64" and leaning towards the PLV so I can get the Bamboo. The pull weight @ 28 #36 +/- 2#. Just wondering about the grip wrap. My friend is going to get the PLIII Autumn oak with about the same specifications.

BWallace10327

I really like the beaver tail.  I have had sure grips on bows but after a while they tend to lose their tack.

I prefer the beaver tail grip as well.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I have the beaver tail and really like it and for $100 more you can pick your wood and get carbon in the limbs.

According to their web site and catalog all the PL longbows have carbon. With the PLV and PLX you get the bamboo, but all the PL series have carbon no matter which model you get. I'm thinking the beaver tail grip wrap.

I had to look BW greenleafs up.... That's a great look  ;)

Well I ordered one today! I went with the PLII Graybark. The length will be 64" and the weight 35  +/- 1# at 28. I went with the beaver tail wrap and Toby grip. They said they now have thin beaver tail wraps! Now the bad part the wait! July is a long way off!!!

Ron Vought

I have the thin beaver tail wraps and Toby grip on all three of my PLX longbows. I had one with the thicker beaver tail wrap and had to send it back for a replacement. Just didn't fit my hand right.
