Im on the list for a new Thunderchild and my name is getting closer. Ive got the woods narrowed down just need to decide on tips whether horn or antler. My limb veneers are black and white ebony. I would like for yall to post picks of your tips so maybe it will help narrow my decision and make it easier. If you dont have picks just give your idea of what would look good with black and white ebony.

Don't own one any longer but think horn overlays and tips look amazing with the B&W ebony.

That would be my route!

I really like the black horns but was wanting to see what else is out there before I make my final decision.

These are kudu horn.

I actually broke the top one and had it replaced. The new one came out a smokey grey color (I don't have a pic of that one), and I think looks even better. Every piece of the horn we sanded on came out a little different looking.

Awesome, a tip overlay thread. This will be good. Question, does size/material of a tip overlay effect speed or cast to a noticeable level?

Go,with the black horn Jim uses springbok horn. I have it on my buffalo with B&W Ebony  and it looks amazing. No offense but better than the pics that have been posted. Get the horn overlays too. May cost a tad more but well worth it jim does awsome work prepare,to be amazed. You'll spend as much time ogling at your bow as you will shooting it.

I would say in general the smaller the tip overlays the more pronounced the limb taper and for me small tipped limbs are generally a bit faster...how noticeable it will be is questionable

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Jim's an artist, tell him to do what's best, he won't stear you wrong.

Me personally....I think the black horn overlays would look better.
Aim small...Miss small!!

Black gemsbok for sure.  I don't think antler would complement B&W ebony at all.

I agree with other posters a black horn with your black and white ebony....

I'm having one made also it will have Myrtle limbs and I have asked for sheep horn.  I'm not able to send you pics however at this time....
