Here is my new toy and i am liking it. I bought the limbs used from greyfeather, but had to spring for a new riser, i am impressed.

Hex-7H limbs and 17" riser, shedua, with rosewood stripe, makes a 60" bow. Would have prefered, rosewood riser with shedua stripe, but this one was in stock, so i took it.

Sid at Border forgot to send me a stringer, so i called his wife one day and she said she would send one, been a couple weeks, hope it gets here soon. i unstrung it a couple times to set braceheight, but i was not liking it, there is so much curl in the limbs, the stringer wants to push the bottom string loop off, its scarey.

Very Nice,  It looks smoking fast just leaning against that tree.  Just my 2 cents, I love that riser.  The Sids Definitely know their way around a bow.

You might want to try a Thunderhorn bowstringer for that one.Coool bow!

How's the sound level on the new 7's?? Honest assessment?  I had a set of Hex6BB2's for a bit and through various tuning cycles I always found them not very quiet, perhaps it was the metal risers I tried them on?  Wonder if these 7's on a wood riser like that are acceptable.  How would you compare the sound and limb feel post shot to the 1pc Phoenix?

If you are using a a recurve stringer with a pocket on one end and a rubber saddle on the other. Put the lower string in the groove and use a rubber band to hold the string in place on the limb. That works very good on these super hook bows....

BTW.... do not ever try using a tip to tip stringer on a recurve bow.... It will ruin a perfectly good set of limbs.

Now THAT'S a HOOK mate!

That bow has the most incredible DFC chart i've ever seen. The engineering has to be admired....

Pretty sporty looking riser too.

nine worlds- i have the HEX6 BB2 limbs on my border in my signature. i too find them a little more noisy but not terrible. i could try putting more silencers on it but that would sacrifice the performance i bought it for so what's the point.

nice bow BTW
Thick fog slowly lifts
Jagged peaks and hairy beast
Food for soul and body.

Border black douglas recurve 70# and 58# HEX6 BB2 limbs

She sure is pretty! Those hooks are intense! I'm curious how they compare to a less radical working tip, or a standard static tip (if there is such a thing)? Details man! How does it feel/shoot?
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Very good looking setup there. Congrats.

Also curious about the noise level of the CH.
shoot straight shoot often

It seems every Border I see with Hex series limbs and now the covert too have limb savers on the limbs...is there a viberation that is inherent with the hex series limbs?

Seems odd that the majority of the ones I've seen have them in relatively the same location.

Great looking setup you have there!...been wanting to try a covert since they came out...only heard excellent things bout them.
