Good job! I went out last Friday with a friend and his beagle. We got three bunnies, a pheasant and a grouse with shotguns.

Next trip out I am going to ask if he minds if I use my Leon Stewart.

Thanks guys.  The shooting part was made MUCH easier due to the fact that the rabbit stopped VERY close.  I was pretty excited to pull it off, none the less.  Takes a lot of luck to be in the right place but it helps to have hunted this spot a lot and have an idea where the bunnies want to go when jumped.

That is a fun sport. I'm looking forward to our annual rabbit excursion in Feb.

Love the bunny's and beagles.  Have one old gal that still comes along but can't keep up with Mickey.  Mickey will get in the thick stuff and get them out.  Congrats on the bunny.

I lost my beagle this past July. He was my deer tracker, but he was a rabbit dog at heart. Everytime I took him out and gave him permission to run bunnies he was super excited. He was the best one-dog-show I've ever hunted. Here he is with the last deer he ever found for me.   [/IMG]

man, i would LOVE to do that. have never had a chance to chase bunnies with a beagle, but it sure looks fun!

Nice.  Dogs almost make the hunt more enjoyable.
