Roving point weight adjustment question

Just wandering if any of yall adjust the weights of your roving points to more closely replicate typical hunting weights.

I get my best practice while roving with 135 grain judos, but typically shoot a 160 grain broad head when in hunting situations. That being he case, I have my arrows set up for the heavier weight.

Judos are fantastic for roving but the difference in weight tampers with arrow flight and performance. And consequently with practice. It isn't anything hat I can't deal, as I always have, but would be nice to have them come out of the bow the same as regular hunting arrows.

I wish they made heavier Judos too.  When I've got a set up tuned with heavier then 145 gr heads I shoot the Ace hex blunt but they definitely hide better then a judo.

If shooting wood shafts, stand the judo up add the right weight of solder and melt into the tip. It should still have plenty of taper left to glue unless you are going real heavy.  If using screw in points use the glue on with appropriate weight adapter.  You should be able to find something that gets you close  - within 10 -15 grains.

wow, that is awesome last arrow, never thought of using soldering material.  That should work really good.

I have been told to melt down tire weights and pour them into the points the same way, buuutt, i don't have the facilities to get that done without accidentally melting my fingers together.

And talking about judo's... 11/32 glue ons are listed as 135 grains. Every one I've weighed comes in at 145 grains. Anyone else?

I've not weighed a bunch but the few I had were between 135-145
