Yes I always have a judo along, I need to take a few practice shots to get the old muscles warmed up, and if hunting in a tree I take a shot before getting down.

In all my years of bowhunting starting in 1977 I have always had a blunt or small game head in my quiver and routinely stump shoot and small game hunt anytime I am in the woods!
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

I have an old modified Delta longbow quiver. It has a 7-arrow gripper so I carry either 5 broadheads and 2 judo/blunts or 6 and 1.

Ha! I actually duct taped a shoulder strap to it last year and am still carrying it that way.     :bigsmyl:

Have a great season and shoot true!   :archer:

Yeah, I almost feel lost if i forget my blunt. I stump shoot as I walk to my hunting area, it frees up my body I find and gets my eye in so that when I need to, im shooting well. And of course its great  if a small game animal crops up.

4 and one for me also.  During the rut I am know to spray the fletching on my judo with lure and shoot it when I get in the tree.

Matt, I simply push the blunt tip or judo tip into the foam of my bowquiver as far as it will go...never had one loosen up or fall out yet. I know some folks push the nock end into the foam which works well too.  Let us know how you decide to carry your blunt-tipped arrow.

How do you find the SGTs when it comes to stopping the arrow from burrying under the grass?

I carry a judo, and shoot my way out of the woods after a morning sit.
I use a Safari Tuff quiver with the hood on it, so I don't have a problem with it falling out.

I always carry a judo, hex, rubber blunt, SGT of some type in my quiver.

Best way for me to keep shooting through the season.

I store mine with the nock in the foam.  First to make sure I don't make a mistake in the heat of the moment, and they seem to carry better that way.

They always seem to work loose if I store them point first.
Inquiring minds.......

Stumpkiller

When deer hunting I carry two blunts (usually Ace Hex) and five broadheads.

always. 5 broadhead arrows and one blunt arrow plus one spare broadhead that rides in a spare bh holder that is attached to the quiver hood so i can change out the blunt for a bh if needed.

I carry 4 BH's and one blungeon point in my bow quiver. When I use my safari tuff arrow master I carry 4 BH's ans 2 bludgeons. I always shoot one out of the stand when I'm done in the morning sometimes two. And I like to stump shoot or squirrel or grouse  hunt on my way back to the truck. It's great practice especially because I have all my huntimg stuff on.
And it's fun!!!

Thumper Dunker

Six broad heads and six or seven blunts. My bunny hunts often turn into a coyote hunt or the other way around.

3 broadheads and one blunt or field point.  I can get in quite a few shots during the hike in or out, plus deal with any small game that needs to be harassed.

That's a great idea! I may just hafta try that!

I've been carrying a blunt of some kind along with broadheads since the early 60's. Back quiver, bow quiver and even when I used a St Charles centerback quiver. I glued a dished out cork on the bottom plate for the blunt to set in...it worked slick.
