Black widow takedown with one piece lamination stack pattern?
« on: October 07, 2014, 09:58:00 PM »
Hello all this is my first post and I was wondering if I could receive some assistance. I was wondering if anyone has seen or had a black widow take down built with the one piece lamination stack pattern. I really prefer the less complicated design and would love to have a take down built that way but would like to see a picture of one first. If anyone knows of a picture and could post it or lead me in the right direction as to locating one it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Will they build one that way? The purpose of the laminations is to make sure the riser will not flex.

I don't think that's an option bud. I had a 1 piece PLX with a glass riser,no wood and it still was laminated via there strip system. I think bigbadjon hit the nail on its head. Welcome to TradGang though! rat'

there's plenty of other bows whose riser doesn't look like multi coloured ply wood and they don't flex. I'm sure if you talked to black widow they should be able to accomodate you.

I contacted Black Widow and they said it was not a problem and could be ordered that way. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any out there being shot already? I would love to see a photo of one. Thanks.

yeah once the fulton crew took over they will do a lot more than what they could when Ken ran it, almost anything you ask them is possible now.

3-pc longbows with PSA risers are next   ;)  .

I'm slow I guess.  What are you referring to?

Just ordered another Black Widow PLX this past week with the locket socket take down system. From what I understand the locket socket system is really strong and easy to use.

Sorry guys I am new to this all, I began shooting a recurve over 30 years ago in the early 80's and quickly went to a compound. My vocabulary referring to the traditional archery terms is not so well developed. Basically, I am looking for a photo, if one exists, of a Black Widow three piece model with the riser that appears to be the same design as their one piece design.

No worries man. The KB is a one piece similar to the PCH takedown. The PA is a one piece similar to the PSA takedown. I don't think they make a takedown with specs similar to the PMA or PTF.

I think they have pretty good pictures of their products on their website.

Hope that's what you are looking for, or you could just call them for photos and info.
