I am pretty sure that if I get to the stand w/o a bow - the first thing I'd see would be game.

I gun hunted in Wisconsin for over 20 yrs in a deer camp. One of the more tightly wrapped cheesers had a huge buck under his stand at 50 yds. He proceeded to shuck all the shells thru his lever action turdy turdy till it was empty without firing one shot.

Reminds me of a duck hunt a while back...loaded the boat at the landing set out across the lake set decoys, got everything situated in the blind...except for the you know whats....still in the truck at the landing!!!
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Don't ya just love it! Last year, my hunting buddy and I are out. Started coming down lightly, then started getting harder. Thought to myself "I'm just not in the mood for this" so I hauled back to the Truck. Sat there for the next 3 hours. Gets dark and buddy finally shows up, soaked to the bone! He also had some choice comments for me, all dry and snug as a bug in a rug! They get over it!

Roger,

Your inner weatherman told you not to go hunting today, he made you leave your bow at home.  :)

Don't you think you might have missed an opportunity to tell us how dry the Anorak kept ya?

HAhahaha.

I know mine works pretty darn good....up to a point.

Good story, Rog.   :D

Aaah, you think you inadvertently outsmarted the weather, but did you check your trail cam and see the pix of the 180 class buck standing 10 yards from your stand ten minutes before it started to rain?   :goldtooth:

Been there, done that. Have also managed to misplace/forget my shooting glove, binos, favorite hat, etc. a time or two over the years.  Shot one of the bigger bucks I've taken with bare fingers because of 'misplaced' shooting glove. It fell out of my pack at another stand the day before.  Didn't realize it until I got to a different stand the next day.
