as the title says,  come try and take a black bear off my bait.  There is a good chance of seeing some brown ones as well.  You would need to have a truck.

well id be glad to have any tradganger come but my hospitality situation probably wouldn't allow house guests,  3 boys age 8, 3, 2months, in a 1000sq ft home.  with one truck needed for work and a wheeler that's on its last legs.  HaHa what im saying is your on your own a bit. but by all means come get it.

That's about the most generous offer I've ever seen on a bowhunting blog... I have 5 weeks vacation now and planning on heading to Alaska one of these days, just buying a airline ticket, renting a vehicle and tooling around just to get me feet wet so to speak, but your offer a little time restricting for my boss to allow me off in such short notice...8^)

Outstanding offer. This is what makes the traditional archery group so special.

Hmmm  I have a brother who lives in Soldotna which I am pretty sure is on the Kenai peninsula.

Oh well, maybe someday I'll make it up there to visit him and try to squeeze in some hunting while I'm at it...lol

Thanks for keeping all of us looking good to the rest of the world with your generosity.

God bless,Mudd

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

I remember driving from Anchorage down the Seward Highway seeing black bear along the mountain sides. I miss that place.

you all may not think so after a couple nights of choking thick skeeters and the stress of knowing that there are upwards of 13 brown bears in the immediate vicinity, and only 4 blacks.

Wow thanks for offering. Sounds like a man better bring back up. I'm a bear magnet see them here all the time, but not sure about the browns. Don't know if the ticker could take those!

How generous!  I'd be toting my 45-70 or 338 WM with Browny in the neighborhood!  I lived in Kenai for a summer...love Alaska, been there a handful of times but never hunting!  I'd be there but I have a baby human to take care of as well.

You're a good Man!  Thanks for the offer!

Jason,
Went through the V operation 30 years ago, sit on small bag of ice for 24-36 hours, then action as normal. A cold one or two also helps. Nice bear btw. A good man knows when the family is large enough.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
