Could someone tell me the recommended brace height for a 50's model Bear take down 64 in

Thanks
AJ

The takedowns weren't made until 1970 and after. You could start about 7 3/4"-8".

Mountain State Archer

ok thanks, it had 1953 Pat # on it.  Whats the best way to tell dates on Bear bows?

JimB

One of the best ways is to go to the Trad History,Collectors forum on this site and show a picture.Someone will know.Also,3Rivers probably still sells the Bear catalog CD with years 1948-1978.

1972 was the last year for the 1953 patent date on the bow. Not going to be possible to get any closer.
