Kohannah Kurve?`

I really like the 50's style bows.  I sold my Robertson Peregrine that was too heavy and I miss it.  I was looking at the Kohannah Kurve as a possible replacement (42-45#).  Does anyone here own one, or formerly own one?  What can you tell me about them?  I was looking at the 64" model.

I had one that I got in a trade, It was a good shooter, with a smooth draw through out.   The grip was nice and thick.  I think you'll be pleased with it.

I had one that I bought brand new back in the early 90's for $285 from Bob Rousello. I really liked it, very well made and looked great. I to liked the Perigrine but they at the time were to pricey for me. Mine was a 66 lber, and 60", I now build my own bows and have built one after the Kurve in looks.

I had a Kohannah Kurve 64",smooth draw,quiet and the grip just fit me.Mine was 65#@30,felt lighter with the 64" length.I thought it was a well made and quality bow and underated.It was a beautiful cocobola with yew limbs,sharp looking bow!

I sure can't find a used one for sale.  The only one I found was a 55#.  I was looking for 40-45#.
I guess it is a good sign that they are not offered for sale.

The poundage issue is limiting.  My friend still has a stunning 52# Peregrine take-down that he would sell to me but, just too heavy

I had a Kurve a little while back. One of the best shooting bows I've had. I liked it far better than the super ghost I got later on. I'd probably still have it if I could shoot RH. Very easy to get good flight and just point and shoot.

Yes I agree you don't see many come up for sale and in the 64" length in the lighter weights.He made them in quite a few different lengths from 58" to 64".If you do see one come up for sale they are usally in a 58" or 60" length.He made a longbow for a buddy of mine that had horn tips like on a English longbow not just horn tip overlays.He taper the laminated limbs and had horn tips,I thought that looked pretty cool.

Bob is still in business. I just dropped on his website and verified. In my opinion, his Kohannah Kurve has some of the nicest lines I've ever seen in this style bow. My old friend bought a Kurve in the late '80s and proceeded to hammer the deer with it. Notably, Jerry even killed an antlered doe with that bow...I believe the gross score was near 148.

I've got a Kurve and a longbow of Bob's. Both are great bows at a great price!

They are great hunting bows, I've owned two of them. His grip style is amazing. Fits my hand perefectly, especially with a thumb rest.(personal preference of course).
In fact, the two custom 50's style recurves I own(Wild Horse Creek and Northern Mist) were both styled after my old Kohannah's grip size.
