Two years ago, my son Zach first time ever hunting.  Pigs in SC gave him the fever...now addicted to chasing elk in the back country of Crested Butte, CO.

This is one of my favorites.  I was planning to go turkey scouting one day last March. The night before my son Clark asked if he could go.  At 4:30 am the next morning that 3 year old little boy that is usually so hard to get out of bed bounced up like he had springs in his butt.  I knew right then I had a hunter.

On the way out the door he said "Daddy can I bring my bow so I can shoot some broken trees". The spot I wanted to scout was a couple miles in so Clark hitched a ride on his old mans back.   When we stopped in this little field he found his first shed antler about 10 yds from where I took this photo.  We had 2 gobblers walk up to about 10 yds and Clark got to see his first wild turkeys.  

We spent the morning talking (too loud) and stump shooting.  It was one of those mornings where time doesn't exist and you wish could last forever.

Amen to that Brother! Time just gets away from us if we arent careful! These are the things that we keep in our Hearts forever!! I have a Granddaughter, ready to turn 6 in the Spring that is going with me this year too! Dont know what exactly we will Scare Up, as her jaw is Hinged on Both ends! Bless Her Heart! And She LOVES to go Shooting with her PaPaw!! THAT alone makes me One PROUD PaPaw!!

Here's two of our Three Adopted daughters at the range a few years ago and all needed a Forever,For Always,For No matter What Home!
Ande is the first pic and Kaci the second, and the runt is Darci when we first got her a year ago, was born with no thumbs and found at about 2 days old...Psalms 127: v 3-5...

I love this thread I need to dig up some pictures and relive some memories now.

This is my buddy Tony (Tony Z)  He's the brother the I always WANTED!!  This was a special hunt and a special bear to me, I actually wish that he was the one who got him.  I'm glad that he was there to share it with me.

Thanks Izzy, Well, we'll have to see about that.  Aaron is severely  non-verbal autistic.  It would be interesting to see how he takes to it as he gets older.
