I got my first squirrel kill and first kill by me with my Great Plains long bow. 65# @ 28 I draw 29.5 shooting full length carbonwood arrows with 225 up front. Judo tip for this one.

Nice shot. Do you hunt from the kayak or use it for transportation?

It was a blast. Got 7 shots off connected on 1. I would have had more shots if I had flu flu's and if I had more than 2 squirrel arrows. Yak is only transportation.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

  Those little targets are tough, nice job
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Thinking about using that small beach across the river in the one pic as a campsite for an upcoming hog hunt   :bigsmyl:    :archer:

Thats my kinda day, congrats. You coming up this winter? I sure hope to hear some Ohio tales straight from the horses mouth.

That's awesome man. I went full commando recently on the squirrels. So far they are ahead in the war. That's a good shot!

I hope to make it up there Izzy. I start a new job Jan. 2 so I will have to see if they will allow the time off    :dunno:

Duncan I thought about floating the river with some flu flu's for ducks. That is the only legal way to shoot from the yak. It is only still a thought though.
