Thanks guys...gotta make this quick though, I got snow to shovel.

Kevin, the camera I bought is a Nikon S9500....18 mega pixels, and a 22 power optical zoom.   I didn't want a big camera, but this one is a bit bigger than what I had before.  It still fits in the pocket, handy to pull out quick and take a pic or two.   You'll notice pics of the "big" bucks are few and far between...that's because I can't take pics with my bow in my hands!   I'm pleased with the quality of the images, and just enough "zoom" to get things close.   It also takes movies....I'm not that good yet!

Mudd....we hunt everyway we can.   There are some trees, but ground hunting is in our repertoire.   We mostly hunt funnels along the river and close in to bedding areas.

Gotta go to work.....check in later.   Thanks again all!

Thanks for sharing! Surprised you guys hunt on a tripod out in the open like that. Whitetails in Il would not fall for that in a billion years. Well maybe not a billon, but a lot lol.

Awesome photos Mark! Makes me wish I had a decent camera to bring with me, I saw some amazing scenery this year. Did you end up getting a picture of that nice buck that Tim and I saw when I was dropping him off?
