Thanks guys I really appreciate it. Been working her up all morning.

Now I know this is a Deer hunters law that is broken but my daughter loves jerky from the backstraps so what's the father of the year supposed to do???

A good soaking in a dark stout for two days. Then for a day in a teriyaki marinade and off to the dehydrator.

NNNOOOOOOOO!!!  Anything but the Loin! Say it aint so, Tom. Please say it aint so.

No sacrifice there. I love excellent jerky as much as a hot lion off the grill! Probably just me, but hey JACK, Everybody has an opinion!

I'm with you Charles. Sitting in a stand chawin' on a hunk of loin jerky gets no better.

As long as it gets ate there is no wrong cuts or wrong chunks of meat to use.
I NEVER would have did loin jerky. BUT......
It sure looks good and she will give you many good meals.
Maybe you can send me some of that jerky so I can see how it is suppose to taste.
Congratulations on a very nice animal!

Mike Gerardi

I suspect he's still got some loin steaks left from the doe he killed before this one. He's killed two this season already, which is awesome! Hopefully it won't be long 'til he posts a story about a big ole buck I'm sure he's got his eyes on....it's gettin' close to that time.....
